HALLia VENEZiA – a special kind of carnival

The spectacle takes place every year exactly eight days before Carnival Monday in the picturesque old town of Schwäbisch Hall. Get enchanted by the mysterious play of masks where everyone can participate.

Dear friends of the Venetian carnival,

Preparations for the next Hallia Venezia on 4 February 2024 have been underway for some time now and we hope to be able to welcome many mask wearers and spectators to Schwäbisch Hall again on this day. More detailed information on changing facilities, travelling etc. will be announced here in good time.

However, the organisation of Hallia Venezia is presenting our association with ever greater challenges. The requirements regarding security, road closures etc. are increasing. There are also other tasks surrounding the event, such as setting up and dismantling decorations and selling masks. On the other hand, our association is struggling with the fact that its members are getting older and older and some of them are retiring. And like so many clubs, we are also lacking young talent. That is why we are appealing to anyone who is interested: can you imagine supporting us around the event? Or perhaps you would like to take part as a mask wearer yourself? Membership of the association is not essential. Please get in touch using the contact form if you are interested in participating in the event and ensuring the long-term survival of Hallia Venezia.

20th of February 2022 (12 am – 4 pm)

the masks are crossing the city again.

HALLia VENEZiA peaks out at the stairs of the church St. Michael with the great parade of masks starting at 2 pm.
